Spin-In Sunday, Sept 30th, 1:00 –4:00 PM
This year the Coquitlam Weavers’ and Spinners' Guild have thrown down the gauntlet with “The Challenge”
This exhibit will include many hand crafted pieces such as tea towels, jackets, shawls and baskets. As well, some of the members have chosen to be part of a group challenge where they are given a selection of deliberately chosen yarns of different fibres, colors and weights. The challenge is to combine this varied mix of yarns into one project and see how a few yarns can inspire individuals to take a different route - and to discover the number of ways the same rules and the same core yarns can be interpreted. That is “the challenge.”
